6th grade Social Studies

Currently in Social Studies, the 6th grade is studying the time period of the Middle Ages in Western Europe. We are taking a close look at how Europe changed after the fall of the Roman Empire. Previously, we examined Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome.  Students completed a Greek Myth storyboard that depicted in their own words and illustrations a Greek myth of their choice. They enjoyed retelling their myths to the class. We also had the opportunity to conduct an interview with a partner about the lives of the Roman Gladiators. Students were able to create names and historical situations in which they were Gladiators.We will have our Chapter 10 test this Friday on Western Europe: It's Land and Early History. Mrs. Powroznik :)
